You are invited to a complimentary, in-person Membership Roundtable & Lunch meeting with ACEC Colorado staff and board members.
This meeting is exclusively for ACEC Colorado member firms with offices in Southern Colorado. Please plan to attend and share your thoughts on how the Council can best serve you and your firm in the coming year, as well as to get updates on ACEC state and national initiatives. A breif overview of recent (effective January 2022) R&D tax credit changes--and their potential impact to your firm--will also be held with an opportunity for Q&A:

  • An amendment to the Tax Cuts & Jobs Act (TCJA) required that all expenses related to the R&D tax credit (IRC Sec 41) be amortized over a five-year period.
  • A memorandum issued by the IRS Chief Counsel required stricter reporting and documentation for any taxpayer making an amended claim for a refund arising from an R&D tax credit.
